Shedding question!!! Did anyones milk snake have trouble with its first shedding? Mine seems to be having trouble. Its the first shedding an it seems that he just wont rub it off! The head part came off but the rest of the body is still on!! not sure if this is normal or not.

Shedding question!!! Our pueblan had trouble as well the first few times. Make sure you have a big enough water bowl in its tank so it can soak. Also, keeping a damp towel on top of the screen top of the tank will keep the humidity level up. We’ve had some nice full body sheds lately(monthly like clock work). We put its hollow half log close to its water bowl so it could "pinch" its skin off itself. Again humidity level is very important...for a pueblan, 30-50% humidity is needed.

Shedding question!!! also what you can do is if he is small you can dampen like a sock (dont soak it just make a bit moist) and put him in and tie the sock end so he cant get out. leave him in for like 30 min and it helps with the shedding. also dont put him in the sock then put the sock halfway in the water or else the sock will absorb more water and eventually cut of circulation and he will sufficate. so a moist sock will do. or if he is bigger a damp pillowcase will also work.
