Nice color and contrast in that snake, also typical wedge-like black rings that makes it easy to distinguish it from a sinaloan.

I never noticed the wedge shaped bands. I always distinguished them by the spacing.

The spacing is not as reliable as the shape of the black rings when it comes to telling Nelsons apart from Sinaloans. Nelsons usually have narrower spacings but that is not always the case. The same, although the other way round, goes for the white tipped nose. Sinaloans often have it, but not always. Nelsons however, always have a little white on the tip of their nose.
