 Nelson milksnake colors question

Hello! I’m a new member here and just got a baby nelson milksnake Saturday. my milk snake is a normal nelson het for albino. My question is all the pictures i have seen of nelson milksnakes have a white band but mine is yellow besides for that he looks like a nelson. I didn’t know if some nelsons have a yellow band if there het for albino. I bought it from a breeder at a reptile show and that is what he had it marked as, so if you could give me any info on this I would appreciate it.

I don’t have any pictures of him yet I didn’t take a picture before I put him in his home. I will try to get one as soon as possible.

Well, I have never seen a Nelsons with yellow banding. There’s a good chance the breeder didn’t have a free box for the Mexican milksnake he sold to you, so he used one that earlier contained a Nelsons.

That’s one possible explanation, but anyone’s guess is as good as mine. A pic will give the answer.

It’s not as yellow as i thought it would be, my best guess is that you’ve got a nice Nelsons milksnake.

yes, I agree after looking at more pictures and talking to other people and what you said, looks like a nelson. The yellow in his band is what made me wonder but from what I seen and heard some do have that yellow tint band.
