Ahhh! Hel me! Im a new buyer!

Hi! I have a few questions about milks... I am looking for a very active and kid friendly kind of snake... I am considering a milksnake... Do they like to be handled? Are they active? Can babies live in a 10 gal??? Any help is appreciated.

I have a female apricot pueblan milk, she’s only a baby and loves to be handled, my mate has a pueblan and he is really shy. I think that they do tend to be quite shy but they’re friendly and get used to you easily (or at least mine did)

I have 3 female kings, 1 male king and 1 female milk. As far as temperament goes, I’d have to say the only difference is that my female gray banded king is a little more skittish when picked up, but calms right down and is never aggressive. I don’t know if that’s typical of the gray bandeds or if it’s just her personality.

The kings and milks seem to be very kid-friendly. We have 6 kids ranging in age from 5-12 and they handle the snakes all the time. If they’d just learn to put the tops back on the tanks right, there’d be no problem, lol. None of the kids are the least bit afraid of the snakes. And now, neither are the rest of the kids in the neighborhood. It’s been a great experience for them.

Good luck
