 Ok Flood Light?

Is this an ok flood light to use for Rusty?

Its a Sylvania Double Life, 65 watts, Indoor, 120v

as long as it doesnt have the little clear hexagon or circle in the middle it should be fine, i dont know bout that brand, so u might want other opinions too

I don’t see any hexagon or circle thingy, the bulb has a white tint to it. What is that anyways?

it just diffuses the light more evenly, otherwise it would project a pattern from the filament,etc in the bulb. it also diffuses the heat more evenly.

 Yes, those bulbs with the little hexagon, etc in the middle.

Were used to replace the evenly bubbled bulbs by many manufacturers. I get both and have no differece in results. I personally like the evenly bubbled glass better, but the bulbs with the center thats different does not burn them. Those thermal burns are caused by basking spots being too uneven in distance from the surface of the bulb, and most times from cages too cool causing the lizard to bask too long.
I get 15 bulbs sent to me for about the price of one good UV bulb, they sometimes have evenly spaced bubbles or a hexagon in them, no difference in temps at all. That center is just smaller bubbles to difuse the light more evenly.
