 Differences between the Sav Monitor and the Blackthroat Monitor

I was wondering what was the difference between the savi and the blackthroat, I know the colors are different, but when they are babies, what are most distinguished differences?. Any help would be great.

As baby’s the Black throat is larger than the sav. The jaw pressure of a Black throat is way more powerful than a sav’s. I think a baby Black throat could but down more food than a baby sav.

Is someone trying to sell you a blackthroat and you are concerned it might in fact be a sav?
If so, tell them to send you pictures of the critter, repost them here and we’ll tell ya what it is.
