 A bunch of pics again.....

The bad stuff first: Road kill here on Guam.
Land Crab:

Monitor lizard: Found this guy right by the edge of the road, the weird thing was that it was missing its head????

The good stuff now:
This monitor lizard was basking in the middle of the road. I pulled over to get a few shots of him. He allowed me to get within 10 feet of him. Then he took off into the jungle. He probably just came out of his burrow in the dirt to bask (notice all of the dirt on his body):

Hermit crab in a coconut: People usually cut wedges off of coconuts and leave them in the jungle to attract coconut crabs:

The sickest looking Cane Toad I have ever seen:

A baby Deer I saw in the jungle:

Any ideas on the species of this fish???

I saw this monitor lizard on the opposite side of the road. I pulled over and observed it for a bit and took a bunch of pics. Then off in the distance I see a truck approaching. The guy saw me on the side of the road taking pics of it and started speeding up. I didn’t take pics of it crossing the road but let me tell you.....it barely made it across. The guy intentionally tried to hit it. I don’t expect the guy to stop for me to take pics but he didn’t have to speed up and try to run it over. I had a bunch of words and hand gestures for that guy!

I finally saw my first turtle in the wild here on Guam! It was just a RES but it still was pretty cool. I wasn’t able to get a shot of it. The moment I took out the camera it went under a rock. Next time.....
A few habitat shots:

This is where the turtle was:

Bamboo galore!

Great Photos as always!!!
The fish could be Phago maculatus, common name "half beak".

When I first saw the fish I thought it could be a small cuda. On the other forums where I posted these pics a bunch of other people replied that they thought it was a cuda also. So I’m thinking it probably is a cuda.

Don’t hate truck drivers, hate jerks...

My dad’s a truck driver and he got mad at me just for roughly playing with the cat. The fact he drives a truck to make money is irrelevant.

Wow, I’ve never seen a picture of a wild land dwelling hermit crab before. Be crazy to fund one of those. And land crabs? crazy. Also its pretty funny that the only turtle you have seen in the wild there was a RES. Gotta love irresponsible pet owners. Great pics.
