I am looking for a ackie anyone know any classifieds that would have some. I already looked at king snake, fauna and reptile forum classified. If you have one and want to sell I am really looking for babies. Not adult I had problems with buying adult lizard that die in the mail or get sick straight away.

With good comes bad it seems.

After my vacuuming incident this weekend, I find my adult Red Ackies mating this afternoon. Seeing as they are no longer little 9-10 month rugrats any longer, I hope they lay some bigger egg clutches this season than last (4,6,4). We’ll see in a few weeks time. I’ll try to snap a pic of them going at it, but they are absolutely filthy in mud. Evidence points to them doing it in and out of the water basin.

Very shallow dish that looks like a rock and sold at Petsmart. It can’t be but 3/4" deep. But they are filthy with wet mud.

ya id say ackiesare pretty sweet since iv gotten my proper temps mine has been more active and a monster during feeding and ill be looking for a couple hatchlings later bu i have a question i no iv sorta asked this befor but if i get say 2 ackie hatchlings and i wait till there close to to the size of my ackie could i introduce them cause if i can id like to make a 8x4x4 for them

dude why don’t you get a savannah instead it you got that kind of space. Also, this thread going a little bit towards the hijack side. I found one though I am getting it tomorrow. It is a yellow and it is a male.

I managed to snap a pic of muddy, dirty, shedding Ackies mating today. I think they are going in the water dish to assist the itchy skin coming off. You can see bat wings on the male just behind the front limbs.


When they clean up, here’s what they normally looks like:



I’m hoping for some good eggs in a few weeks!
