 How much?

Hey,

I recently got a Black Throat Monitor, and was just wondering how much I should feed it. It’s about 2 feet long, and 2 years old. It’s currently shedding. I’m currently keeping it in a quarantine 75 gallon tank with a soil and sand mix for substrate which is 1.5 feet deep, a water dish, and a 100 watt flood lamp. It’ll be in quarantine for a couple weeks, just to be safe. I’ll post pics when I can find my cam. I’ve done research on it for quite some time now but any extra info would be great.

Mike.

First, ditch the 100 watt bulb.
In an aquarium, you’ll end up with lizard jerky.
At 2 feet, you need atleast two, 45-60 watt halogen floods.
I’m going to give you the benifit of the doubt and assume you have the top covered with something besides screen to keep the humidity in.

2 feet at 2 years old in tiny for an albig.
It should be between 4 and 5 feet atleast.
Feed it everyday, feed it only whole foods, mice, chicks, roaches, ect.ect.

Get the pics up soon, need to see lizard and set up.

Scott
