 Walking on deep substrate

I have an argus and we all know what they like to do EAT & TUNNEL.
i am getting ready to start her big cage.what i need to know is when i get it
set up if i need to stay off the substrate because of her tunnels or not.
the substrate will be 2-3 foot deep.cage will be 4-5 wide 8 long and 7 tall.

Yes, if she’s underground don’t walk on top of the dirt. You should see me jump in and look for eggs on my tip-toes in little holes I dig to stand in. It’s a ridiculous mess where I come out covered in dirt and sweat.
