Any good places to buy savannah monitors 
I just about have everything set up and I am then buying my sav. I dont want to buy one from the petshop because they have a year old savannah thats 18 inches long and a 4 month old water thats only about 10". Everythings too small for there age and they dont have the basking sites very high. Is there any good online breeders that I can get a young savannah monitor up to 8"? I dont really like kingsnake.com because alot of people can lie and say its small and then ship you a 2 foot monitor if they wanted and you cant really do anything about it. I have been looking for breeders for a little while and havent found much luck. Also if anyone had one on here thats a baby i may but it

I really dont care if they are wild caught because about 99% are wild caught. I would prefer one farmraised because at some farms they just have a huge cage and let the monitors mate regularly instead of a guy chasing monitors with a net

you got it way wrong farm raised reptiles , they dont give them a huge cage and they mostly collect females during breeding season and put them in a small enclosures until they lay eggs.
For your question the best place to buy savannahs is to go a reptile expos if there any in your area so you can see what your buying in person.
out of the 7 savannahs i use to have i got 2 beautifull adults at the whiteplains expo in ny which were about 3 ft when i got them and my biggest one maxed out at 43 ins
if theres no expos in your area try classifieds

The expo was 2 weeks ago but i couldnt go because I was at a party and my car was trapped so i was suppost to go with a friend and he couldnt.

i got mine at reptile city.com not sure if they’re a good place to get them but ive had mine for almost 3 months its grown from 5 inches to 13.....the only time its refuses to eat is the day after i feed him a few pinkies......he hisses, puffs, tail whips, everything a monitor should do

how do you get your car stuck at a party? what if you animal had an emergency and needed to go to the vet asap?? if you are going to be partying and getting your car stuck places maybe you should re consider the responsibility of getting a monitor. i have found that monitors are for people who are well settled in their life and aren’t going going going all the time. Basically you need to have a good grasp on what you are going to be doing with your life during your monitors lifetime. I am having my first child and i know i am going to be living in the same house for many many years and i am going to come home and go to work everyday and be with my family. when i was 20 i didn’t know what i would be doing the next day let alone a few years later.. sorry for the rant.. but i think there are way too many young monitor owners and people who have no business getting one. When i had my first savannah at 15 i didn’t get to go on a website and ask all these questions and get all this help. i had to do it the hard way, research and trial and error. well the bugs are worked out now and i hope there are some real youngsters out there who truly care for these beautiful creatures.. thanks
