Great news man.
You have that talent.

Oh and just so you, and other members, know I may be looking to finally get my argus, koopa, a girlfriend. Not too soon but in the near future.
So if you have any older females you don’t think you’ll be keeping shoot me a PM and we’ll see what happens.

Again, great job Justin.

Nice work, Justin.

Is the egg on the lower right viable?

Terry - "one beats none" is looking crappy. I think it was an infertile but just shelled and filled out well unfortunately. I was praying for a partheno seeing as I never saw any mating going on when I introduced the two. Maybe I even missed her cycle???

Crocdoc - that one is "dodgy" as you say it, but I’ve had eggs laid sort of deflated like that suddenly take in some moisture and go the distance, so I corner positioned it to inflate. Time will tell in a week or so if it’s a fly-attractor or makes it. lol

When I get dodgy looking eggs, my test is to pick them up a couple of days after laying to see if the perlite sticks to them. If it does, I know they’re slimy with bacteria/fungus, even if they don’t look it, yet. Perlite never sticks to good eggs.

I’ll have to try that. They do get slimy when they’re really going bad as you know, but I’ve never noticed the stickiness thing early. I DO notice that infertile eggs retain dirt stains while "good" eggs tend to let you brush the dirt off of them to a nice white finish usually. That’s sort of on the same thinking. Thanks.

Good eye, David. That lower right egg is on it’s way out today.
