Strip and old aquarium? So I’m building a new cage and hate how expensive glass is gonna be for my sliding door. Would it be possible to strip the silicone from an old aquarium and put the glass on tracks and have an instant sliding door? Sounds to good to be true...please reply.

Strip and old aquarium? it is but you risk easily breaking the glass trying to do it. Look at homedepot or lowes for brand new wwindow panes or on craigslist for used ones. I picked up two for 15 bucks at a spot where they were redoing the house. They usually toss and recycle the windows anways. Good score for sure!
Fit it into a frame and pop it into your enclsoure fit to size.

Strip and old aquarium? You really should just keep your eye open and look around. I was looking around for windows for my ackies soon to be new home and happen to come a cross a man with a 6’6ftx23 inch tall sheet of glass and I got it for free.
