hey guys i am not getting a monitor anytime soon but ide like to know incase i even come into one. so all monitors require custom built cages at adult hood?

Pretty much!

Unless you find a cage that fits the bill and does the purpose. But custom built ones are cheaper and fit exactly round yours and your monitors needs.

ok thank you i saw a poor little sav at petco..so cute and cold as hell when i asked to hold it :( i was tempted to buy it and put it in my 40 but i guess i would have been screwed once he got big. good thing i didnt buy on impuls

Thats the dilemma that everyone has. They want to help out the Sav, but then the pet store will just buy another one and keep it in the same, crappy conditions. Its a vicious circle with this species.
