 Heating dilemma

Hey,

Building a new Ackie cage as there ones at the moment are either too small, or just does not hold enough heat/humidity.

Its going to be 5x5x2.5 (LxHxW). With there cage at the moment (4x3.5x2) one basking bulb is enough to heat the enclosure. I realise there is not a dramatic increase in size, however, do you reckon one flood light will be enough to heat the 5x5x2.5 enclosure?

Yes, a can add wholes for new lights if it is not enough but might as well try and get it right first time!

If it helps, my one i use at the moment it is a 85w flood light. (i think par 46)

Thanks in advance,
-Daryl

Put in a couple fixtures. Use The second if need be. If your cage is gonna be too cool, use an incandescent bulb to distribute heat more broadly on the other cooler side.

Good shout! I suppose i dont have to have them both on if it is not needed. Could come in useful for the winter months as well!

Thanks mate!
