How often should I feed my baby sav?

How often should I feed my three month old baby sav and how many crickets should I feed her when I feed her? Also howHow big will she get in a year if I feed her correct and if the heat and humidity is correct in her cage?

In one year I’m guessing should be at least 18"+
Feed on a day to day basis if not every other day.
Offer as many as it will eat in one feeding.

Yup. Feed every day to every other day. 10-20 bugs per feeding. If he snatches them all up fast, feed more. If unbeaten bugs are left in cage, feed less. They can easily hit 18-28" in a year if heated and fed well.

If she is pooping does that mean the humidity and heat is good? I have the humidity to 70% and ninty degrees warm side sevinty to eighty cold side with a basking spot of 130 is this good?

If he/she is pooping it means they’ve eaten. If they’re mildly dehydrated, they may poop less often and strain to drop a dry one out possibly, but it’s hard to read into the turds too much. If you put deep sandy soil in the cage and it’s moist down deep but almost dry on top, the lizard can CHOOSE what it wants and it won’t get dehydrated. You achieve this type of moisture by sealing up the cage top and not having a blasting heat lamp over a screen, but an internal lamp in there. Drop the wattage or put on a dimmer if the cage overheats in a sealed cage. Test on an empty cage before placing lizard inside. But you should "error" on the moist side with Monitors, not the dry side.

At the very least it should be 18+ inches I would hope. Mine is 6-7 months and already at 16-18 inches.

Feed it everyday. 5-6 days of crickets and 1-2 days on mice is how I started mine out then as they get older you can start adding more mice/meat to the diet but keep feeding it crickets and inverts as long as you can. For crickets dependin on the size of them and your monitor I would feed probably 10-20 crickets or so then with mice I would offer a few appropriate size mice again depending on the size of the monitor.

I use a custom built melamine enclosure to seal in humidity. I sealed it with aquarium sealant. Also plenty of dirt and sand make for a great mix of holding burrows and humidity. When you add a lot of dirt at first it keeps the humidity right up there. I believe mine was up to 85-90% at first then slowly dropped to about 70 which is where it sits now but I really only have to mist it like once a week if that.. But again, keep the mixture deep. A lot of people say that the substrate should be as deep as the length of the monitor from snout to vent. I offer mine a little more but thats just me.. My girl is sitting on 20 inches already which is a lot bigger than her S-V length but thats just because she loves to dig (especially for inverts) and make burrows.

Thats great! Just wait till the first time you can lead her onto your arm.. I GUARENTEE your heart will just be racing LOL. But with the worms it is a personal choice.. I know some like to offer them just to give them exercise and everything. I mostly use crickets for her to get her exercise but I do use worms myself as well but I make sure the ones I get are pesticide free and everything as not to harm her. What all do you feed her?

Pretty sure you already asked that question and you got a response...

But as you seem to have forgotten, no, not true.

Okay.. go with crickets, appropriate size mice, and mix it up with some other stuff such as fish and shrimp. Shrimp is great because it is VERY low in fat. Anything invert is good as long as it is whole prey.. I know I treat mine every once in a while with an egg or raw chicken but thats on occasion and not a staple of her diet. Look at chad’s food list.. it is great!

Yeah, I bought frozen shrimp but make sure it is JUST shrimp with nothing else added in.. and you could probably start now. I fed mine pinky mice when I brought her home at the same age but only do it once or twice a week..
