Nile monitor bipolar 
im sure the title doesn’t surprise you but this might.My Nile is very trusting of me and possibly a little dependent on me. He wont eat very much unless i hand feed him. he eats like 80% percent of his food from my hand. and sometimes he gets too excited and runs onto my hand. but when he realizes it he gets mad at me for a few minutes then comes back to eat. i even got him to stand up on his back legs to eat from my hand. next time i feed him ill get a video of it, or at least ill try, he really hates my phone

I’m confused, what are you trying to say? Your lizard has bipolar?
A Nile monitor that only eats from hands doesn’t sound healthy to me... I would love to see a pic of him and his enclosure to prove me wrong.

yeah i forget the bipolar part. he/she will seem to be be trusting me for a few days, then he/she will just wake up and decide to hate me for a few days

Thats just how monitors are... my savannah does the same thing. She will love me for a week then hate me for a few days. Ask any monitor owner really.. They will say pretty much the same thing unless they own one of the rare "tame" monitors.

ok these aren’t the best pics so Im sorry, i realized why he likes to eat out of my hand so much. when i put crickets inside his cage they get under his water bowl so he cant get them.If you saw my pictures before, he looks the same size but he has grown alot since then, i just can’t get a picture that shows that.
This picture was from like a week or two ago

What wattage is ur heat bulb? I’m only asking because my niles basking spot looks alot closer to the bulb. Mines about 12 inches away and has a great basking temp with the 75 and 65 watt bulbs I have. I’m not saying ur doing it wrong at all, just wondering. Whats the temps in ur enclosure?
