 Argus Sibling Fight and Injury

Just before feeding my presumed male attacked my presumed female. Got her a couple times in the tail base before I was able to seperate them. Is there anything prevenetive measure that I should take to prevent infection or just let it be? The larger wound is about 1/4" long. She is roughly 3 months old.

My other question is how do I prevent this from happening in the future? Do I just chalk this up to a feeding reaction or should I be more conserned about this? He has gone after her one other time that I witnessed but did not injure her. He has a much more voracious feeding response than she does as well. He will attack the food at first sight where as she need the pinkies shaken in front of her face many times before she will take it. Sometime that doesnt even work so I just leave them at the entrance to her burrow for her to eat later. She doesn’t try to fight back either, she just tries to run away.

Should I remove one of them from the enclosure during feeding and feed them seperately? Also sometimes she won’t come out from her hides or burrow sometime for feeding and will go days at a time without eating. Should I forcefully remove her from hiding to make sure she is eating?

 Argus Sibling Fight and Injury

I have mine in a large enclosure where I literally get inside and walk around in it with them while feeding. So as I feed my female I’ll put my foot in my males face to keep him from getting too close. He bites my boot and tries to climb my leg but he’s not very aggressive towards me, just seems more curious and distracted. At first I would feed them from one of the windows but he grabbed a hold of my female at the shoulder once and tossed her. I’ve been going in ever since and me being present keeps him from getting too jumpy believe it or not.
You could try feeding them completely separated that would definitely prevent it from happening again.
My female did something similar for a while where she wouldn’t eat her quail peeps even if I shook them in front of her face. But she did still like roaches so I would drop a few in her nest box and she’d go for them.
The wounds will heal fine.
