Dream monitor! 
When I get the time an get in my own house again I would like to own my dream monitor a white throat an to be more specific a cape white throat. I have been wanting one for 9 years now an I think its about time I get one.

This post is kind of pointless. But yes the cape white throats are nice. I almost had a lady 3 years ago ship one across the boarder for me, but then I decided it was to much of a hassle. Oh yea good luck finding one. Finding a CBB hatchling like I did is far and wide.

You have waited a long time, but still arn’t prepaired for the white throat, as you clearley stated above.
Wait till you are ready and prepaired, have the cage built ahead of time.

Yes it was ment for others to disscuss there dream monitor. An I know I have to get my own place I kinda said that in my post haha? An I don’t have the time for the reason I have been working crazy to get my own place. An I know I will have everything built an ready for one. I was thinking an 6x4x4 to start off?. I even went as far as makeing friends that breed chicks an quil an I will be breeding several feeder fish like crab an talbia hopefully.

Don’t get one until you can house an adult. If things fall through with property and you can’t get one, the monitor will suffer as a result. The cage size you said would be good for a juvie but like I said, don’t bother until you can safely house an adult.
But back on topic - I would love a CBB V.Reisingeri... They get to a manageable size and I remember seeing one way back and since then have been mesmerised. If only they didn’t require me to sell my car!

Well this time I am moving into a house last time was an apartment an I got kicked out for my pitbull. I love my pitbulls an wouldn’t get rid of them. I will hopefully try to get a juvi. But if an adult or even a baby it will be housed in what I want to be a 10x4x4. An to stay on topic another one would be a croc monitor, lol but it will be long time till I get one of those.

Mine would have to be Varanus giganteus. They are gorgeous ! But on a more realistic level since I am in CND it would be difficult to get one.. but another one that I could actually own here would have to be Varanus Salvator. I just love them. The girlfriend was gonna buy me one last year on our anniversary but I told her not to because of the space required for an adult as we live in an apartment right now but buying a house in the near future which will hopefully allow me to acquire one after acquiring more medium/large sized monitors (Varanus Albigularis, Varanus Panoptes and many others) to get me ready for the Salvator.

I believe I have my dream monitor. Varanus ornatus. Funny story, and kind of emberassing-thought I had purchased a v. Niloticus but wasn’t the case. I’ve seen some photos of adults in the wild and a gentleman who has had one for 10 years plus in the UK, and it’s turned out so far to be quite nice to keep. Starting to tolerate my presence, plus the enclosure is so huge that my friend and I are constructing. The fact that they burrow, climb and swim often has been fun developing into the enclosure.

Got another question. Who here also own or has own tegus? I have a red as of now I will be building an 4x2x2 this weekend an gotta say I have had Colombian tegus an now Argentine an to me besides being smoother they are not that all driffrent well the Colombian tegus are a nasty one.

I wish I had dreams about Monitors but didn’t actually have to clean their poop, water, heat enormous dirt-filled cages and the day-to-day stuff to actually enjoy them. LOL They’re a lot of work when you wake up and have to roll the sleeves up.

I had an argetine black and white tegu, and it was the meanest lizard i had ever seen. It would rip your finger off no problem. The argetine’s grow alot faster and they get bigger. And need UVB?UVA lighting. Plus fruits and vegatables. Especially the red’s.
