This is one that I’m working on. Nearing completion. Just working out the heating the substrate bugs.
Trough is hidden in the bottom. WHich is reinforced with 2x6’s to hold the weight.

That enclosure looks beautiful Kriminal. I like the idea of hiding the trough inside so you don’t have that eye sore. Where are you building it if you don’t mind me asking? It look’s like an industrial type workshop.

Yes, I work at a custom cabinet shop. So it’s fairly easy to create the cabinet part.
Tricky part is building them so able to be disassembled for getting into the house.

This is not quite a trough enclosure but rather a custom one piece bathtub unit.

These enclosures are awesome, they hold 24" of substrate and are completely water/rot proof.
Crank up the heat and humidity with no worries of rotting or warping!
They are perfect for "Indo Forest" types.

Just thought I’d offer another option for you.
Mike

Dang. Never thought of it until seeing your shower unit again Mike. I gutted my bathroom but could have used the old tub for a trough.
One pc shower stall is definitely a good idea.
