It is fine and might be fine for quite awhile. All it takes is one filled with parasites to cause damage

Like Kap said, why risk it..
You can use the only proven diet in monitors, whole animal foods, mice, chicks, roaches, crickets, etc, they dont want or need extra variation in their diet, we imprint human wants and needs onto our captives to believe we are keeping them better by varying their diet. If the diet works, and the idea of varying with alot of other stuff doesnt, then why else do some of us continue to do so, its a proven path with whole animals based with mice, its not like a million others havent already tried to feed a widely varied diet and failed.
Their diet is like a foundation in a building, its important to start with a solid one or it will fall down and fail, but its only one important structural feature in making it stand.

I don’t need to feed it the snails, it’s just that he really loves them and gets excited whenever I put one for him.
