Hey guys I just got a new Argus Monitor at the NY reptile Expo! I have a question about substrate though, can i mix play sand with soil for a substrate?

if you cant use out door dirt i would use a play sand peat moss mix iam using it in Argus monitors lay box but i use out door dirt on the cage floor. i needed a lil more dirt in my blackthroat cage but we just got or back yard done so i cant get any more dirt so i added some peat moss i had laying around and so far it is working great for me it holds borrows great and good humdity but rember its mixed with dirt peat moss alone is 2 light and wont be good unless you mix it with some thing 2 give it a lil weight so it doesnt end up every where
