How old does a blackthroat monitor have to be to be sexed?

That depends on the care it is given. I knew Fluffy was a male at 18 inches due to the musk. I could not tell from the tailbase because of the condition he was in. You can take one look at him now and see, he is all boy.
Females have bumps at the tailbase, males have bulges.
Post some pics of the head and tailbase from different angles and we can play, guess the sex.

my lizard is only 14-15", lol, i was only able to get one of its tailbase.

Too physically young to tell 100% yet..

Ill forecast a guess of male right now, but Im not sure. Need it to grow for a bit to tell for sure. If I saw it in person I might have a more accurate guess.
