Easy way to sex savanna and many other monitors at a young age

when ur monitor gets about 8 inches long u can sex it. very quickly pick it up as if it is a mouse and u r a snake but be gentle. then turn it over quickly. sometimes if it is a boy u can see the 2 hemipenis pop out and if ur lucky sperm will come out. for the beginers dont get sperm mixed up with pee. u can tell sperm apart from pee because it is white not yellow and sometimes clear.

I don’t think there is any "easy" way to do it. Your vet could probe it but I definitely wouldn’t suggest it. Just wait until it gets older and wait to see if you ever see it poop. Then you’ll be able to tell without injuring your monitor

If your vet wants to probe your monitor, find another vet.
Monitors are not like smakes and cannot be probed without possible damage to to the sex organs.
There are much easier ways to sex a monitor. I can tell most monitors sex on sight. Head shape, jaw structure, tailbase.
You also need to know what you are looking at when they vent.

I highly doubt you will see sperm from a 8 inch baby sav.
Try it again and get someone to take a picture.
I wanna see this trick.

HAHAHAHA, this is too funny, monitors and sexing 101...

First your 8 inch hatchling wont be producing sperm, second of all that white stuff is called uric acid, the yellow stuff is just like any form of urine when concentrated its yellowish. Next about hemipenes, and yes hemiclitori they both have them, you need to know what your looking at to tell them apart.
Im gonna say this again NEVER, EVER, EVER, get any monitor probed, they are not snakes, it tells you nada, nothing, zilch, zip, the big ZERO. Probing a monitor can and will damage it if one tiny mistake is made, they are built different than snakes so NEVER probe a monitor, I dont care how much experience someone or any vet says they have doing so, DONT DO IT. If I could find the pics, some females have hemiclitori that are just as long or even longer than males hemipenes in the same species (Sobek is one and John A’s big female water Cody was another example). You have to be able to tell the difference between the 2 at a larger age to sex them by eversions, of course even if you knew how to pop one you would have to be able to identify what popped. An example, Shadow my male albig everts when he craps most times, they are large enough that they pop over his legs and hips on a partial eversion alone. Another point is you could see a partial eversion at any age that looks the same in both male and female (of course at a small size it wouldnt matter much).
The easiest and best way to sex them at a small size and is not 100% is by secondary sexual characteristics, good luck because some can be tough, again unless you know what your looking at.
Blood tests, another failed method, why? Well male and female monitors have such high testosterone levels that theres no way to tell.
Xrays, looking for tiny bones in the tail base, no, doesnt work either.
Whats the most sure fire method? Well, when a female monitor is kept somewhere even close to correctly they produce eggs, thats 100% sure.
Now, consider this, in captivity 90% or more of female monitors do not produce eggs, why is that? Indication of husbandry, they should, or could start producing eggs (in many cases, depends on the species and animal) between 6 months to 1.5 years old if kept close to correctly.
One way to tell if youve had enough monitors and understand some of what they are telling you is also a good guess to sexing them, this also may not work either, males are very territorial, males get offended easy by petting them on the head and neck WHEN THEY ARE TAME, to them this is a dominance display. Now consider that a female may do the same, and/or a male may act female (who knows but it happens).
