Damn this is just great......

Red ants have invaded my BT cage ! This is what i get for my sin’s lol, this is not good. There is a sh** load of them. Now i have to clean out my 6’x 27"x 27" cage ! Man this sucks, all of these damn ants ! and to make matters worse, they are red ants. God this house needs to be " dis-insected " man this is the worse day of my life. Someone tell me if and when they’ve been in a situation like this, and the story. I need to feel like im not the only one..lol

dude, i put some live pinky’s in my sav’s cage the other day, and when i came back into my room like an hour later, i heard all this squealing. I looked in the cage, and the pinky’s were like totally covered with big black ants and they were all y getting eaten alive. i felt really sorry for them and put them in the freezer to put them out of their misery. now they make good f/t food, but they’re kinda y from the ant attack. anyone know of a way to prevent ants from getting into the cage?

Forget feeding insects and switch to mice/quail..

For awhile, and spray the cage with a safe insecticide, also find the nest and mix boric acid with sugar in water, about 2 cups full, then dump it around the nest. The ants will eat the boric acid supar and take it back to the nest killing all of them. Also, diatomaceous soil kills them all.
