Yea Shadow I have been busy trying to rearrange my collection and tanks and stuff .. no action with the savs yet but right now I am going to try and fatten them up and I am reading about the cooling process right now maybe that might help who knows ... SHvar what are your thoughts on cooling monitors before breeding ? |

At one time my male cape banded WT used to hump anything that moved or didnt move, he ate alot, had his tail base swollen from his sexual organs ready to breed. When males are physically mature, this doesnt mean an age, this means when your husbandry allows for it, they become an adult, they start to want to mate from then on as long as enough resources are present to allow this. Brumayion, every year when temps drop, or winter comes, or spring so many want to think brumation will do something magic for them, it doesnt, its a survival technique to make it through times either low on food, low on usable temps, or low on water. The return to good conditions and abundance of food signals mating not anything to due with cooling at all. |
