 I dont know

now i work 8-5 and i have my monitor lights timed and when i come home he is in the hide wont come out now should i take him out or let him come out he also aint so nice but still a baby i just think he dont like me but always trying to earn his trust and i dont wont to use food to get him out

it shouldn’t stress him out to much, but it will probably stress him out less if you keep the basking lights on 24/7.

well thanks i will put the lights on 24/7 but i dont think that matters because he only out from 8 am to around 3 pm not to much play time and when i take him out its just a fight tail whiping and hissing but once i get him he starts to calm down he is only 10 inches

they need a photo period, dont keep it on 24/7, if you want another light on get a night spot.

where did you get that monitors "need" a photoperiod? Two of the best monitor breeders (goanna ranch and proexotics) keep all their monitors on 24/7 basking schedules. why? because why should we choose when the monitor needs to get light and bask? why should they not have basking temps all day long?
