umm, what did u do exactly to get ur monitor to come toyou when called, and what can i use to make a good sav cage?

to get him to come when called started by luring him with food to get his attention. then we would reward him everytime he came to us with food. then we would reward him every other time and slowly stretch the rewards out so he didn’t expect it every time. it is complicated there are a lot of cues you have to watch for. it would be easier to explain over the phone. and NEVER EXPECT IT TO WORK!!!!!!! don’t get frusterated if it never works every monitor is different.

as far as a cage we use medium density fiber board(mdf board) and cover it with pond liner.

check out the new reptiles magazine. it is a do it your self issue, and it has plans in it for building a nice cage out of a dresser. check it out

easily for a snake. as long as it is not a big one. my boa is 7+ feet and a dresser would cut it close on floor space. how ever for a tree boa or python or many other snakes it should do nicely. i have seen big boas in smaller cages than thatLink snakes can be kept in pretty much anything but i prefer to go all out like with monitors.
