Quail?? they are juveniles. feed them crickets, mealworms, superworms, roaches,silkworms,etc...bugs. dust the bugs twice weekly with a good reptile vitamin powder. they eat a lot of bugs. when it gets older, tons of bugs and occasional mice or chicks.

Quail?? Hmm, you bosc is how old? And what size? Your argus died from laying eggs, and you do not give much digging room for oyur argus and argus LOVE DIGGING. In your recent post on another forum you had a pic, of your little "female" argus in leaf litter but nothing to dig and make a burrow. I have argus when i 1st got him he had MBD, he is over it, but has many probs, half tail, harded jaw(harded wrong) hips are little off set, but gets around fine. Geuss what he is always doing? DIGGING! Truly i think you should not be giving to much advice. I do not disagee with your state ment above besides. mice and chick occasionally when older. Chick=low fat, but higher cloes... as stated in the "picky eater" thread. Chicks make a good main/ or part of a main diet. Boscs in thw wild eat aLOT of bugs, lizards, some seafood(coastal boscs) snails, bird eggs and chicks hmmmm. Mice are a good addtion also, if feed right.

Quail?? Damn, that’s some animosity! I shouldn’t be giving any advice? I don’t proclaim anything, but i answer questions i can answer. If you agree/disagree with what i told the guy about feeding sav’s that’s fine. Chime in. If you got a problem with something else, put it where it’s pertinent. My bosc is a adult male. I’ve had him since early 2003.
