i would give the egg every two weeks or so. they are very high in cholesterol. i would offer shrimp/ roaches and catfish also.

BUGS BUGS AND MORE BUGS! Mice and chicks are a good stable but also offer crickets, roaches, snails, locust, earthworms, quail, and any other whole animal pray you can find! And as Raz said shrimp and sea food but remember WHOLE foods (guts brains etc...)

Don’t forget Raz sea food is VERY high in protein as are eggs so don’t overload your monitor with them! Body builders eat a hell of a lot of protein and you don’t want your monitor turning out like that do you!

All the best

Rick

yes but you have to remember the amount of protein a carnivorous reptile needs. sea food is great bcause it helps cholesterol levels and provides the daily protein but it lacks in daily fat needed.

Point taken, you are quite right! It is low in fat but it is also low in calcium. It is a fantastic food source along with rodents and bugs. All 3 make a great stable diet IMO.

Actually I think that shellfish is high in calcium if you include the shells, most nutritional analysis of shellfish is done with human consumption in mind so if I’m not mistaken the shell is not included.

Also, I am curious as to why the eggs would be cooked, if it is simply for ease of feeding, thats o.k but I think you would lose much of the benifit by cooking them, they eat them raw in the wild right?
The only real drawback to adding eggs to the diet frequently would be the smell of the feces. Which is something to think about if you keep them in your home.
Cheers,
