If all the environmental conditions are being met adequately, and he isn’t acting ill, he just needs time to finish shedding. One of my females shed her entire bod, minus the head and tail, in about 2 days. This was about a month ago, she is only now shedding on her head and tail. Sometimes they just seem to stop shedding, then start up again. Why they do this, whether it is an environmental condition, or if it is just they way they do it, who can say yet. I have never actually had to soak a MHD to aid the shedding process, but that isn’t to say that you shouldn’t or that it is a bad thing to do. It really can help. If there are huge bits of dry skin hanging off of mine, I just gently rip them off leaving a little excess near the actual skin. I never pull it away from their bodies. Evan |
