CONSIDERING selling my MHDs

Hello all,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am considering selling my two male MHDs and the 4’Tx3’Wx2’D enclosure I made, minus uvb, bubbler, and heat light. It would obviously be for pick up only. I’ve had a great time with these guys. But, I’d like to start raising cornsnakes or leopard geckos, whichever I’m allowed to have lol. These guys have been great for me. Nellie is extremely brightly colored. Nelson is a bit smaller, and a little more dull. Both are plump and healthy adult males. Enclosure is furnished with 6 or 8" of jungle dirt, a large hickory branch piece, a draecena log, another type log up top. Door is plexiglass with particle board frame. There are philodendron and pothos (somewhat ailing, I can’t figure out what exactly they need, maybe less water in the soil), a bromeliad, and there was a small fern, but I believe it has been damaged beyond the point of return, temp/humidity gauges. I was hoping to get around $150 for the whole setup with lizards. If you want them, make an offer. I figured I should post this here, because you guys could help me set a fair price. I am still unsure if I can get anything else, so it may take some time before I can actually get rid of them. Thanks!

Trav,

Why are you selling them, can you not have both? I would be interested if you had a male and female or even two females. What area are you in, I have a friend interested in getting a MHD?

Nope, can’t have both. Don’t have the time or money or resources to breed cornsnakes and keep these guys. I’m in Allegan County, about in the middle of it. I wanted a male and female and thought I had them until I found out they were both males : Such is life I guess haha. They are really not that hard to keep, and they are very comical to watch. I got a kick out of them!

aww man, u live way too far away from me so i won’t be able to buy them from you. i really want a male or two for my yuuki. and that price is pretty fair, for the dragons AND their cage. well, i’m sure u’ll get some hits closer to you. good luck with your cornsnakes and/or geckos! ^_^

Haha, thanks. I hope I can find someone to get these guys soon. The GR reptile show is next week sunday, and I’d like to find something there because the prices are soo cheap! If I can’t sell them by then, I’ll probably have to wait another month. Oh well, that’s fine I guess. Whatever’s best for the lizards.

I would greatly appreciate it if both were sold, but if you are only interested in one, then I could sell the other somewhere else. I am located in Allegan, MI. North of Kalamazoo, Southwest of Grand Rapids I believe. You were also interested in the cage? Because I don’t really want to keep the cage around if I end up getting leopards or snakes. It’s no use to me. It’s a very nice enclosure and setup, I could post pics if you want. Actually, I think I have a few uploaded, check them out on my account page. One of the plants have died, and the others are a bit smaller (except for the one in the center, it’s grown a little) since that picture.

Hey if you want another male or female just go to your local reptile store or petsmart ( i live in canada barrie so yeh). Mybe that helps. And your price seems very ggod 150 normally one mhd is 69.00 and cages are like 110.00 and all of the vines and lights come to about 130.00. honestly u should maybe up your price. or be nice and leave it how it is lol.

Well, I’ve put it on craigslist, asked everyone I know, and put it up on here. And there has been only one person interested, which wasn’t able to be worked out because of traveling issues. So I think my price will be left unchanged. :P

Its too bad your so far away cause I would definitely be willing to take them. I would be willing to look into shipping them if you are interested in that option Iâ€™m just not sure if there would be an issue of bringing them across the border. leave me a msg if you are still looking for a home for them. Maybe someone on here has some ideas on how to ship them.
