I think having problems with mt horned dragon He is very nice looking MHD. I have a couple of questions for you:
1) are the crickets still in the cage or have they disappeared
2) Do you have moving water in his cage
MHD’s are rather secretive you will seldom see him eat, and they will not drink from water that is not moving. I have three MHD’s and have only seen them eat 2’s in a year, but the crickets and super worms that I put in their cage never seem to last long. I also have a desk fountain for their water source and since I have two pregnant ones I have a dish that I keep in there for their soaking pleasure. I have also MHD’s are not very active, they love to just lounge around and bask. Do you notice poop in his enclosure? If you see poop and the insects are disappearing he is more than likely a normal happy well MHD.

I think having problems with mt horned dragon Doesn’t look that bad to me. Actually looks fairly healthy, especially for an ex-petstore MHD. Chances are that you’re probably just not seeing him eating. Keep track of how many crickets/mealies/whatever you’re feeding him, and check back to see if the numbers have changed. Best way to do it.

Yeah hi. nice MHD. i have only 1. But this is to that one comment u never see them eat. I hand feed mine becuase it looks cool when it eats ( but it makes them lousy hunters, ow well its cool) just dangle a worm or cricket in front of its face make it touch its nose so i can smell it and identify it then move it back about 1/2 and inch and them hell jerk his head back and then BAM hell stap at it and eat it.
