New member in mhd forum Do they look like acanthosaura capra to you? I am not familiar with acanthosaura species so any skilled eye will help:) terrarium : 27.5 inch tall-20 inch deep, polystyrene (EPS) and tile grout, temperature 80 F at the top-68 F at the bottom, 80% humidity at the bottom- around 40% at the top, pool with water pump, fake and natural plants...same problem with not eating and being extremely secret, food:mealworms and crickets (soon i ll bring earthworms). In almost 2 weeks i never witness them eating or visiting the pool, they do move around but basically they are 90 % of the time on the same spots, regularly faces. Don t know what age they are...

Thanks

New member in mhd forum Not capra. Coronata or lepodigaster. Can’t tell the age. What is their length from snout to vent? These ones are smaller than capra. If their food is disappearing they are eating most likely.

New member in mhd forum Well i was sure that somehow they are not capra. I came across one piece of information on a german forum and there it was said that coronata and lepidogaster have their mouth blue-dark, the other acanthosaura have it rose-red. Is this true? Because if it is the mystery is solved, they both have blue mouth. I didn’t measure them because i didn t want to increase their stress but they grow longer as their companions in the pet store they were much bigger then these 2 and i ve been told that they are juveniles. It’s the second time they are miss-labeled. It happened before with a ctenosaura that was sold as clarki and repticzone cleared it as a quinquecarinata.
As for the water i used a small suction water pump that i covered with some pottery piece not to splash the walls and to create some sort of vortex inside the dish.

New member in mhd forum of course and she was so nice and replied to my emails. I am starting to think that they are coronata. i am angry somehow that i can t find decent pictures to compare capra, armata, lepidogaster, coronata...and most of the people they call them mountain horned dragons:). I had this problem before and i don t know why people are somehow reluctant to find out what are the actual scientific names of their animals. thank you for helping me
