Petstores in Ontario do not legally have access to the necessary deworming medication to safely deworm a reptile. Nor do the employees typically have the expertise necessary to administer the treatment. I wouldn’t risk getting an MHD from a petstore unless you’re willing to accept all the risk associated with taking in a wild caught animal. If you can wait, captive bred babies are going to be available within the next few months (hatching season is almost upon us!) |
