 Help please.

okay, this is the first problem i have had with my MHD. i bought this one from bonnie awhile ago. we named "him" because i figured right off maybe male, but i posted pictures a bit ago and bonnie said it could be a female most likely. im not sure either way yet. i just moved back into my parents house and i now have all my reptiles outside in the new shed we just bought and insulated completely. i have all the same conditions as before i moved, but now she doesnt seem to be doing anything. i mean ill go out there and try to feed her and she doesnt seem to want to eat, but yet she still appears plump. i put dirt in there incase she might be gravid and wants to nest or something. but she in general doesnt look good. i cant get her to eat. she moves around a little i mean ill leave her somewhere at night and than the next morning she will perch somewhere else. MOST of the time i find her down laying on the bottom of the cage, but not in the bowl with the dirt mix.

ANY HELP is much appreciated,
i just dont want to lose my baby.

Thank you

 Help please.

At first I figured it was because of the move. I have a male that I had to force feed off and on for 6 months after I moved him into a bigger tank. Not sure what to say about the runny poo. Was the dirt sterile? Maybe he ate something from that. Flukers makes Reptic Aid for insectivores. Thats what I use when I have to force feed. Sometimes you can put a worm or cricket directly in the dragons mouth and it will eat. Be careful that it doesn’t get dehydrated. When I used the powder I mixed it with pedialyte instead of water. They like the sweetness and it helps with hydration. Are the temps the same? A drop in temperature could trigger it to stop eating. Hope he’s better soon.

 Help please.

laying down is NOT a good sign...unless they ARE in their water dish. Just follow what Bonnie said and everything should be ok....

Good Luck

Sorry for your loss. The stress of the move may have caused a bloom of their naturally occurring parasites. This can trigger changes in poo , eating , activity in general. The younger they are the harder it is to help bring them back when it happens. I truly am sorry for your loss we have lost a few over the years it hurts but at least she was loved.

You said you had to move the reptiles into a new shed that is insulated, how hot does the shed get?
What kind of air circulation is there?
When we moved back to Alabama we had them in the garage we had enclosed but didn’t have air or heat yet, just open windows and heat lights.
We have noticed extreme heat these guys do not adjust to it. Their natural region is hot and muggy but from what I have read on observations of them in the wild they are normally in a shaded area or around moving water that keeps the area cooler. Dry heat with just misting from a bottle doesn’t do much to help the temps, just makes it muggier.
When we moved the MHD cages back into the house with heat lights they all responded in a positive way.

I just lost my baby girl last night, she had a ruptured egg and was doing almost the same as you described yours was doing; maybe it was the same thing. I’m sorry to for your loss but my daughter and I am now in the same boat with you...missing our baby girl.
