 New MHD owner... needing help!!!

I bought a wc MHD (lepidogaster) Wednesday Jan. 14th. On the 14th through 16th he was generally left alone. I found him drinking quite a bit on the 15th. On the evening of the 16th we tried to feed him. In a 10 gallon aquarium he left him with some cricket and he showed no interest. The next day I tried with some jumbo mealworms we had for another pet and he showed some interest by smacking his lips and snapping. On the 18th I bought some small mealworms and he gobbled up 4 of them. Since them he hasn’t eaten or had a bowel movement that I know of. Since I haven’t seen him drink again I’ve soaked him twice. Once yesterday and again today. What I don’t know is how often he should be eating or when I can expect a bowel movement. Also, how long can he live without eating or drinking? I have a waterfall and a fogger in his inclosure. Last thing is that he has a small cut on his leg. What do you guys think? Any advice or ideas are appreciated!!! I’ll upload pictures shortly.

sounds like you have a good set up, your mhd sounds normal. a week without eating i would find to be a long time. females eat more often than males, sometimes daily. and good that they have moving water. my male eats every other or every few days. it depends on their activity too, when mine are a little warmer in the warmer season, they eat more. if the cut shows sign of infection or does not heal you need to do something. wash the laceration and put some neosporin on it. congrats! i have a breeding paid with babies to sell and i love my lizards :-)

Last night I coaxed Zac into eating by smearing a bit of mealworm guts on his lips. Believe it or not it got him right interested. He started smacking his lips and gobbled up three more small mealworms. Still no bowel movement that I can find. Should I be worried?? Can he die from constipation?
Thanks for the info on his cut. So far I can’t tell if it’s infected. Would it be the same signs as when mammles get an infection? Red, swollen, warm and sore? I know that’s probably a stupid question. Anyway, I’ve been keeping it clean and just put polysporn on it. Zac doesn’t seem too sick or stressed. Moves around his inclosure a bit. He’s always climbing and is strong. I’m keeping the temperature at 75 and humidity between 40% and 80% with the fogger, depending on the time of day.
Here are some pictures of Zac, his home and his cut leg. Sorry for any of the dumb questions, the only reptile I’ve cared for was a Garter Snake.
