So we’ve researched plenty and decided to buy our first MHD. We’re not sure if it’s female or male at this point but would like to know for future reference about egg-laying. The only question I really have at this point is whether or not females will lay without being in a breeding situation? We have a water dragon at home and now know he is male, but in his species the females will lay without mating. We just want to be fully prepared before we bring our new guy/gal home. Thanks in advance for any help. Also if there’s anything anybody would like to add that can’t be found on the kingsnake or froggie b site let us know.

Egg-laying?
Sorry we have been busy we do not mean to stay away from forums for so long but life happens. To answer the question you can have a female lay eggs if they are not with a male. We have experienced this a couple times over the last seven years. As long as she is healthy and the eggs are not to large every thing is okay.
