My MHD has not pooped or peed

I have been communicating with Dericka about the fact that my son’s MHD has not pooped or peed in 2 weeks. The last time she ate was 3 days ago. She doesn’t look or act sick. Could she be burying her business in the bark? I have put her in a warm bath several times with no luck. This did work about 3 weeks ago. I offered her a cricket dipped in olive oil today, but she wouldn’t take it. She started to take it, then realized it was not as usual. Then I offered one dusted with calcium and she wouldn’t eat it either. I mist her twice a day. This pooping problem began about 4 weeks ago when the pet store was out of crickets and I fed her mealworms.

Does her tummy look bloated or unusually big? you might just try giving her a few drops of oil with a eye dropper or syringe....

She could be eating her poo...I know some will do this...my water dragon poops in his water and then chases his poo around and then eats it...YUCK!!!!!!

I wondered if she could be eating her poo/pee! I haven’t seen any sign of it for over 2 weeks when I put her in the warm bath and she went in the water. She doesn’t like being put in water and I put the container in the bottom of her aquarium and covered so she couldn’t get out. I wonder if that scared her so that she wouldn’t go back to her favorite spot behind her water dish in the bark. Her tummy is not swollen and I felt yesterday to see if it was lumpy with eggs. It felt normal. She ate around 10 crickets yesterday. How do I get mineral oil in her mouth?? The only time she opens her mouth is for crickets. I am going to purchase an exo terra reptile terrarium so maybe she will feel comfy doing her business again and not eating it! I can give her baths in her old aquarium so as not to traumatize her in her new home!

Thanks so much for confirming this idea. I won’t be giving her kisses!

Your Welcome.....awww poor baby she’ll miss her kisses..you can just blow her a kiss...LOL..

On the oil you can get a eye dropper or a syringe and just put it in between her lips and she should open her mouth and squirt a few drops in there....

On her pond do you have a running filter?..they seem to love running water....

I have an airstone in her water dish/pond. It’s placed under a hollowed resin log. She seems to hate being in water and if she drinks out of it, she must do it at nite. She was very secretive about doing her business (at nite after light is out). I dip her crickets dusted in calcium in water before feeding to her with hemostats. She’s a little lazy about getting the loose crickets herself. They end up crawling on her if I leave them loose. Thanks for all your help!
