Somone plz help!!
I have been taking to the vet. He was on meds for parasites and some skin issue. I give him baths of gatorade and water...pedialyte is too expensive... I syringe water and also force feed Flukers emergency aid. As well as try to feed some earthworms or something. He doesnt want any of it. I still feed him the Flukers which he does eat. It will be a week I have been feeding him this on Sat and Im worried he wont want ot eat anymore. I have been tlaking with MHD experts and they said he just might not make it. I am taking all the precautions here so any EXTRA info that maybe someone can throw in will help!! Please, his eyes are starting to sink in and he is just a lil lethargic lizard... I cant just let him die. He doesnt move when I take him out, he keeps eyes closed 24/7 and I have called vet to see if he can get up with these people that can maybe get him better. But no answer yet.. Thanks for any help, Lauren |

Oh your poor little guy.....STOP that baytril NOW and start forcing fluids with a syringe never mind food.. just fluids....3-4 times a day about a 1/2cc each time....I think he’s going into renal failure...Keep him warm....and keep the fluids going got to wash out those kidneys and get them working....Antibiotics are so hard on the system..sometimes they do more harm than good..Oh and also stop the panacur too........Gosh I hope he will be ok..Keep us posted... I try to get fluids in him Annie, he wont open his mouth much anymore or his eyes.. I know. I know he is close. Im trying soooo hard. But he perks up sometimes and will bask for a minute. Not much movement though. So that there gives me hope.. Why do u think he is going into renal failure? What are the signs Im missing here? I have tried so hard with him. I have my 2 yr old son that runs rampid through the house so when I try to get a minute to myself its hard to hurry it up and hes banging on the door. I try to give the lizard peace and quite in my room with shades pulled in and just try to be calm. He is still laying on the leaf with his eyes closed. I have temps at 78, they have been 74 for this week cuz Im so confused on temps! The vet said to keep the temps up near his hot zone and I am scared to death it will over heat him. He said it is a hard thing to balance when they are sick. I am about to give him fluids now. I usually let him wake up for about 20 mins and then give him food and water. But I will stop the food I guess and just do liquids. He dosent take them. He just lets it run out of his mouth... oh god, this is horrible even talking about it. I am really at a fork in the road. My vet said he will take him but Im scared if he takes him, he wont be able to tend to him through out the day...I mean he will be at work all day... he has to have fluids throughout the day... But here its so hard to get a minute to myself without my son ranting on.What do I do? I will let you know today how he is doing... I called the vet and said it is raining too hard (cuz it was) and I couldnt get them together today. (my son and lizard) So I think I will take him tomorrow. But Im still very much on the fence about it. Thanks, Lauren |

I feel like I just signed his death papers but I know in my heart he wouldnt have survived much longer. He is really just alive cuz I force feed him. Ill let u know.. Lauren |
