Hopefully someone can help me.... I went to an average pet store to buy a feeder rat for my red tail boa..... she did not eat the rat .... I noticed that the rat was and still is scratching it’s self a lot..... does that mean it has fleas or could it be the mites that I keep hearing about that dwell in the mulch.... So i guess my question really is would it be safe for my snake to eat this rat and if not should I also get rid of the current mulch in my snakes tank as well as the rat.... I don’t want my snake to get sick or have any problems
