 Pairing Major Plated

I have just gone and got a female Major which I thought I would be able to put in the same tank as my Male plated. But when I put the female in my male started shaking as if it was really scared, he had a really good sniff, which all seemed OK, Started climbing all over her then he decided it was time to bite her side. (I have split them back up) Is this natural? I have browsed around and I can’t get any info.

Oh and also apparently these have been in the same viv before as I got it from the same shop. He said the same thing about another lizard to me and I ended up taking back a dead lizard for a refund.

it may just be aggressive mating, although some just dont get along, its common that they dont. try waiting and reintroducing them again and watch carefully, hope taht helps!
