 Getting two of them

at my local petsmart, there are two yellow lined plated lizards that no one has bought for quite a while now(no one buys any reptiles at mine) they are male and female and they are very healthy, i always see them eating and drinking there, im thinking of getting a 40 gallon tank for them, but i dont have experience with this reptile and I want to know if that is too small. Also if someone could tell me the basic care requirements that would be great.

do u mean yellow throated because alot of people get confused but yes they are easy to maintain and 40 gallon for 2 is to small but a 60 gallon would be perfect but keep in mind that bigger is always better. also make sure they have at least 4 to 6 inchs of dirt to dig in. last but not least u need to make sure that u have alot of hiding spots

 Getting two of them

i have a spare 65 gallon cage but it is mesh and i wasnt sure if it would suit them well
This is what it looks like but it would be different on the inside(i used to have anoles in it)

if they cant live in that I am more than willing to get a new glass 60 gallon

 Getting two of them

You would need a glass or acrylic cage and it would need to be at least a 40 breeder.
Glass would be the best because acrylic can scratch easier and a screen reparium like that would catch the claws and scales in it pretty eaisily.
