HELP somebody!!!!
I own two armadillo lizards and two plated lizards, they are not plated lizards. They need some-what the same care as a plated lizard though. They grow to 6 inches at the most. They should be fed crickets, meal worms, silkworms and an occasional wax worm, however some do not like crickets and will run away from them, that is how mine are. Some of them will also except small amounts of veggies and fruit, if I were you I might try magoes, romaine lettuce, grapes, collared greens and mustard greens. But feed them a lot more meats than veggies, Probably 85 percent meats and 15 percent veggies. They need a water bowl and their substrate can be coconut bark or other barks (not cedar, pine or other aromatic woods) mixed with sand or dirt or you can keep them on paper towel or reptile carpet. They give live birth once a year and produce one to two babies each time. There temperatures should be about 80-85 ambient with a basking temp. of 95 or so. They are small and one can be housed in a 10 gallon but two should be housed in a 15-20 gallon. Also, give them lots of hides because they do not like to come out much and you should not hold them very often because they are flighty.
I hope this helps, if you have any more questions you can ask me and I will try to answer you as best as I can.

HELP somebody!!!! thank you... i have him in a 29 gallon as thats what the internet said was the minimum you should have them in. my lizards name is spike, because of the tail. i just wanted it at first sight! do they really curl up in a ball while biting their tail when they get frightened? if so that is really cool! ive only held him once but he seemed to be fine. he closed his eyes and laid on my hand. he has a basking light and a hide with a water bowl. should he have a large water bowl to soak in or is a little corner water bowl ok? its big enough to sit in but not all the way. i gave him like 3 crickets in his cage and i seen him eat one. but none after that. should i put the meal worms in a little dish for him so they dont get away? and can i just put fruits/veggies in a dish too and will he know to eat it? all the help is appreciated!
Here is a pic of him...

So what do you think? he is kinda dark but he is shedding now.

HELP somebody!!!! Your amadillo looks quite a bit bigger than mine are. They will curl up but I have never seen mine do that and they usually stop doing it when they are in captivity. The corner water bowl should be fine. Yes you should put the worms in a bowl. Yes, put the veggies in a bowl too, if he wants to eat them he will but if he doesn’t he won’t. You seem to be doing pretty well so far.
Hope this helps.
