I bought my boyfriend a sudan lizard and after it hissed at him and his brother it was pretty much abandoned. So I felt bad for it and kept him as my own, which is funny because I never liked reptiles to begin with.I have "Finch" in a decent size tank with a heat lamp and this log thing for him to hide in. I feed him meal worms every other day.I don’t carry him or anything. But I do talk to him and it seems like he listens because his eyes follow me around as I carry on.After feeding him and giving him water in his bowl. I will put water on my fingers for him to lick off.Do sudan lizards need handling and am I feeding him correctly?

Ok meal worms are good but you can give him crickets also. Make sure they are not to big for him. they like fruits and veggies also. Greens are important for them so try baby spinich {fresh not canned} and mustard greens. As far as fruit I feed bannannas, grapes, mango, peach and any soft friut. You can buy a fruit cup from the store and make it simple.
You should Google the Sudan as well as asking on here. It covers some things we may not think of.
What temps are you keeping the tank? Also what kind of set up do you have?
Mine is a wild caught so I have problems holding him, but you should get yours used to being held. Makes it eaiser to clean the tank if you can get them out.
