 Finaly got a good pic

This is Mater.


So what do you think? The tank is a 50 gal now with more room and more plants {all fake} Can you tell if its a boy or girl? I want to make sure I named him/her right.

good looking lizard and setup. i can’t tell from the pics what gender your lizard is. the only potential problem i see with you enclosure would be if Mater tried to eat the fake vegetation. if it has been in there for a while and you have seen no attempts to consume it i would not worry but if you have seen him attempt to consume the foliage i would remove it. other than that everything as far as i can see looks good.

he never tried to eat the plants, thank goodness! Its a new 50 gal with more dirt to dig in and a few rocks and a log. He seems to like it better and the water dish flipping has stopped. Still burrys his food and digs it up later...Oh well hes happy. thnax!

Oh great! Give the poor girl a complex lol. I guess Mater is a girls name now...I want a mate just for company but man they are hard to find. I don’t know if two of the same sex are ok together...and ideas?
