 Blood Python Questions!! HELP!

Are Bloods good for beginners? How big do they get? Can you please do me a couple of favors?
1) Post pics of your snake and its enclosure
2) Recommend a good breeder and how much a Blood will cost?

I would really like to care for this beautiful animal but want to make sure I am making a wise decision.
THANKS!

No and Big.

Please do not get one if you are a beginner its not fair on the snake. You should really cut your teeth on an easier species to start and just look forward to the day when you can get one knowing you have solid experience behind you to help look after it properly.

I got mine from Bob Clark who I highly recommend. As for pics I have a thread open with some pics.

Bloods are not a good first snake. Adults are usually in the 4’-6’ range, If at all possible buy captive born and bred.

Do i recomend a blood as a first snake? No, but do i think it can be done? Yes. Anyone who is new to caring for repts could do it. if they are dedicated, willing to spend the time to do ALL the research requires and take our advice to help them then i think they could have a good experience with a blood as a first. it all just depends on how dedicated the yare and how much of there time theyre willing to give to make it work. So i say, if youve read ALL you can, and you honestly think your ready? go for it. but if it doesnt go out to well please give the blood to a rescue or somthing because it woulndt be fair to the animal to die from a few or your mistakes. just be carefull.
