i read a post on here, is a 40 gal really ok for a adult blood?

Butternut, it doesn’t matter how wide by long either of those tanks are because they both have the same amount of floor space 3’x2’=6’sq., and 4’x1.5’=6’sq. So either way they are both fine. In my opinion anyways. My 40 gallon is 3’x18"x18"

just remember the cage needs to be 1/3 the snakes body length in width and 2/3 the snakes body length in length of tank.. and these measurements are at the least... anything else is just icing on the cake as long as you are willing to keep it clean
