ok,,this may be an incredibly dumb question, but wiht my ball python’s after 48 hours i no longer notice any visible bumps fromt hier food, and generally if there is,bumping the temp up 5 degrees helps out,but with my blood, its been 48 hours,,and still a good bump,,temp is 87 on one side,82-83 on the other, humidity 60% and keeps knockin over his damn water and laying under the dish with the ecuplytus drowining in what used to be his water, any idea of helpin digestion or is this normal?

Bloods have a slower metabolism then some other snakes, think of a pig that moves very little, so that is ok to see a lump for a little longer. However if the water bowl is continually being flipped over then you need a BIGGER WATER BOWL!!!. One because of the flipping and two because bloods and borneos love to soak in their WATER dishes. No matter what size your snake gets it will always need a dish BIG enough that him or her can slip into when ever they want. MORE WATER!!! It sounds like your waterdish is way to small, your snake is probally trying to tell you this. Hehehe! No but think lots of water when it comes to these snakes. Get a bigger water dish!!! WATER!!! they love it. If the water dish looks to big then its probally perfect..Water dish should be more then big enough to accomedate the snakes whole body and then some. Also the water dish should be wide flat and accessable. As far as the lump goes, that shouldnt be a problem with digestion if your temps are all ok, these animals are sloppy pigs and should have no problem eating if you have problems then check your temps.

Good Luck Man have fun!
