You didn’t wash her off of after you took the eggs away did you? She can smell the eggs, and is trying to incubate them. Wash her off in warm water with a drop of Dawn soap, completely clean her enclosure and everything in it. Wash it, wash it wash it. :)

After a few she should stop twitching.

I didn’t know I could use soap, will it hurt her if she trys drinking the water with the soap in it? She was drinking the water when I cleaned her last time.

Whenever you give a snake a bath, you should always let them soak in clean water first so they can hydrate, then do the treated bath. Also, only use a drop or two of dawn soap.

A little trouble with my blood python

Well that seemed to work she stopped, thanks. Is it ok to try to feed her this Tuesday, or should I wait, till maybe next week? And should I try feeding her something a bit smaller then normal just to get her started? I would like to get her eating again, she looks so thin.

Yea go ahead and feed her. If she has been off feed for a long time, then start with a small meal this first time, then each time bump her back up until back to her normal meal size. You don’t want to shock her digestive system too much getting her back on feed. Congrats on the clutch btw!

She did eat a little, so has not been off feed for long, but I was thinking it would be best to go with something a little smaller, and thanks. I just talked to the guy that has the male that bread my female, and I might be getting him.
